Bihar: Khan Sir Named in FIR Following Vandalism at Patna Coaching Centre

Patna, June 5: Popular educator Faisal Khan, widely known as 'Khan Sir', has been named in a First Information Report (FIR) in connection with a vandalism incident at his coaching institute in Patna, police officials confirmed on Friday.
The development follows an alleged attack on the premises of Khan Global Studies Institute on Tuesday night, when a group of 15 to 20 individuals reportedly vandalised the coaching centre and pelted stones at the building.
Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kartikeya Sharma told PTI that Khan has been named in the FIR and will be questioned as part of the ongoing investigation. However, police have not yet disclosed the specific charges under which he has been named.
Guards Detained Over Alleged Firing
The case took a new turn on Thursday when police detained two security guards employed at the coaching institute for allegedly firing shots during the incident.
The action followed the circulation of a purported video on social media that appeared to show guards opening fire amid the unrest. Authorities have not officially verified the authenticity of the video, and investigations are ongoing.
Allegations and Counter-Allegations
Shortly after the vandalism, Khan alleged that individuals associated with a rival coaching institute were responsible for the attack and the alleged firing. He later clarified that only a police investigation could determine whether any firing had actually taken place and identify those responsible.
Meanwhile, representatives of a rival coaching institute held a press conference on Thursday, alleging that Khan himself had orchestrated the incident. No evidence supporting the claim has been made public, and the allegations remain unverified.
Investigation Underway
Police have not released further details regarding the FIR, and no official statement has been issued on the nature of Khan's alleged involvement.
The investigation is currently focused on establishing the sequence of events surrounding the vandalism, the alleged firing, and the role of all individuals involved.
